    Dreaming About Our Future

    Sunday at 11:30AM
    location_on Minneapolis, MN access_time 11:30AM - 12:15PM
Dreaming about our building and the next 100 years!

Our worship space was built in 1924 with a building added for offices, classroom, etc. in 1952 – 1954. We also share our building with various community groups, Sunshine Montessori School and are part of the neighborhood at 46th Street and Colfax Ave S.

Grace is undergoing the blessing of growth and we only have this space to provide services, more staff and host more community groups. Through anonymous and generous gifts, we have made some needed improvements to the sound system and are about to commence a refresh of the Commons this summer.

We also have a very detailed and inclusive structural assessment of our building, and any safety issues identified therein were immediately addressed and completed. We have members with detailed, first-hand knowledge of other aspects of our church. Kerry and Vince Nelson know our mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and Adam Reinwald knows of our musical and sound system needs.

Before we start prioritizing what work needs to be done, we want your input. Please take a moment and dream about our building – no idea is too big or too small. At a recent listening session, it was suggested at we purchase Guse hardware (big idea) or install a light so that the stained glass window above the altar can be lighted at night (small idea). Tell us what you’d like to see in a reconditioned/remodeled church. We’re just brainstorming here.

What ideas do you have for our spaces (upstairs, memorial room, library, undercroft, etc.)
What questions or concerns do you have?
What are we missing or overlooking?
Do you know a local church that has a great property configuration that we should go visit?

Submit your ideas online using the button below, or attend our forum conversation on Sunday, May 24.

    Events Calendar

Grace is filled with activity most days of the week, not just on Sundays. Our building is an important community asset as it's home to a child care center and many community groups call this location their home too! Use the label (or icon) in the top right corner to change the view from MONTH, WEEK, or SCHEDULE. Schedule view works best for phones.

Individual giving provides us with the vast majority of our income. We maintain our worship space and grounds, pay our staff, purchase our supplies, and support charitable work. Learn about more ways to give on our Giving page.

    Highlight Projects

Occasionally we highlight one of our programs. Please consider giving to these great causes.

Grace will be applying for a dollar-for-dollar match grant. Susan+ is in for $500 from the Rector's Discretionary Fund.
