    NEW! Third Thursday Service

    Thursday at 7PM
    location_on Minneapolis, MN access_time 11:30AM - 12:15PM
    Third Thursday Contemplative service begins September 17 and repeats on the third Thursday of each month.
    This quiet, spiritual service alternates between Sung Evensong and Spoken Compline from the BCP. Additionally, each service will have a “spiritual artmaking” component that may look like puzzling, painting, crafts, and discussion. Thursday, Sept. 17 be a Sung Evensong featuring a professional vocal ensemble. 7 pm in the Worship Space.

    Peace Day

    The Dream Team is inviting you to our 6th annual Peace Day celebrations. Monday, September 21st is International Peace Day, and the theme this year is "Invest in Peace - For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day." In this turbulent and uncertain time, focusing on peace and cooperation is one way we can take care of ourselves, our community and our world.

    Join us on Saturday, September 19th from 12-4 PM for peace flag making, conversations with neighbors and friends, sharing cool, sweet treats, and walking the Labyrinth in the Sanctuary at Grace.

    We will be walking to the Peace Garden at 2 PM, stopping at several points for prayers and readings, and culminating the walk at the Peace Garden at Lake Harriet.

    On Sunday, September 20th, we will continue peace flag making in the Community Room after the service, for those who want to share in the Peace Day experience.

    Godly Play Begins

    Sundays at 9AM

    Our Sunday morning program of youth formation begins today. Godly Play takes place on the second floor of our building from 9AM until 9:50AM each Sunday morning during our program year. This program uses Biblical storytelling with Montessori-like hands-on activities.

    Courageous Public Action Series: September 14, 21, and 28

    If you are feeling powerless in the face of current political forces, you are not alone. And we have more power together than we think. One thing that we can do is build intentional community. We can face forces in community, as Christians whose faith calls us to act for dignity and justice for all people.

    Make Art Together

    What are you grateful for? An Intergenerational Art Project – Sunday, September 27 during coffee hour

    Gratitude is a core value at Grace. Often our Vestry members and parishioners write thank you notes to acknowledge all the kindnesses we have received. We’d like YOU to help us prepare some images of thanks to create a mural – masking tape. So, start thinking of things that you:

    appreciate
    feel gratitude for
    are thankful for, or
    want to acknowledge or pay tribute to

    Then on Sunday, September 27 we’ll gather to create a beautiful, colorful collection of images in a mini mural for us to use as our new form of thank you note. This is an intergenerational activity – people of all ages are invited to participate, and fun is guaranteed. Look for Neal Cuthbert and Linda Lyman for instructions on that day!

    Our friends at St. Andrew's in North Minneapolis host this special event to celebrate the many cultures and traditions of their congregation, and we're invited to join in! This year's proceeds will help complete their kitchen renovation project, enabling them to launch one of our signature community outreach initiatives—providing nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in North Minneapolis and the surrounding communities.     Building Use Calendar

    Grace is filled with activity most days of the week, not just on Sundays. Our building is an important community asset. Our building is home to Sunshine Montessori School and many other community groups, including exercise groups, music ensembles, twelve-step programs, and theater/art collectives.
